Funeral services for Mrs. Lillian Eleanor Helms Weir, 84, of Monroe, will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, November 27, 2007, at Grace Episcopal Church with the Rev. Gregg L. Riley officiating. Interment will follow in Mulhearn Memorial Park Mausoleum under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe.
Mrs. Weir passed away Saturday, November 24, 2007, at Cornerstone Hospital.
Mrs. Weir was a member of Grace Episcopal Church. She and her husband were the owners of the Tire Center and a dry cleaners. She was a special mother, grandmother, and great grandmother; always there for anyone who needed help and she was always full of laughter. She enjoyed fishing with her husband and going to Florida on vacations.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Williams Weir.
Survivors include her daughters, Vevie Lynne Weir Rea and husband Robert W. Rea, Jr., and Eleanor Louise Weir Ogden and husband Guy Powers Ogden; grandchildren, Connie Rea McGee and husband Stephen, Karen Rea Trigg and husband David, Chad Ogden and wife Julia, Jennifer Ogden Holmes and husband Christopher, and Wendy Ogden; great grandchildren, Brittany Rea Price, Adam Rea McGee, Austin Trigg, Logan Trigg, Grace Ogden, Chloe Ogden, and Katelyn Ogden; sisters, Louise Helms Ratliff and husband Jack, Ruth Helms Nunnery, Myrtice Helms Stewart and husband David, and Mary Helms Bloodworth; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Ray Pierce, Elee Trichel, Chad Ogden, John Rea, Steve McGee, and Christopher Holmes. Honorary pallbearers will be Lemmie Wood, Adam McGee, and Bill Everitt.
Visitation will be Monday from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe.
Memorials may be made to Grace Episcopal Church.
