Funeral services for Mrs. Lois L. Dickerson, 85, of Monroe, will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, April 1, 2008, at the Swartz Assembly of God Church with Rev. Gerald Lewis and Rev. Bill Lewis officiating. Interment will follow in Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe.
Mrs. Dickerson passed away Saturday, March 29, 2008, at St. Francis Medical Center. She was a member of Swartz Assembly of God Church. Her children, being a wife, and being a mother was her entire life. She was preceded in death by her husband, J. B. Dickerson; son, Paul Albert Dickerson; and sister, Marie Agin.
Survivors include her daughter, Joan Brantley and husband Rev. Bob Brantley of Mobile, AL; sons, Earl Dickerson of Monroe, LA and James Dickerson of Houston, TX; brothers, Purvis “Buddy” Lewis and wife Gwendolyn, and Gerald Lewis and wife Shirley; grandchildren, Jeffery Brantley, Tamela “Tami” Harper, and Sherry Lynn Acree; great grandchildren, Shannon Keys, Joshua Brantley, Taylor Marie Harper, and Isabelle Harper; and great-great granddaughter, Lindsey Keys.
Pallbearers will be Eric Acree, Daniel Lewis, Aaron Lewis, Duane Emken, Archie Little, and Melvin Burrows.
Visitation will be Monday from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe.
Memorials may be made to the Swartz Assembly of God Church.
