Services for Mrs. Lola Allen, 91, of Mangham, LA will be 1 PM Tuesday, October 27,2009 at Calvary Baptist Church Mangham, LA with Rev. Larry Emory and Rev. Gerry Courtney officiating internment to follow in Hewitt Cemetery Mangham, LA, under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home Rayville, LA.
Mrs. Allen a member of Calvary Baptist Church and former member of Mangham Eastern Star passed away Sunday October 25, 2009 in Rayville, LA. She was truly one of God’s Faithful servents and was “Ma Maw” to all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her parents Gus L. Beard and Birdie W. Beard, her husband Rev. J. W. Allen, daughter, Johnnie Mae Carter, son, Kenneth Allen, granddaughter, AshleySebren, sisters, Tena Easom, Media Alton, Essie Kinney, Viola Beard, Hazel Dawson and Bertha Pullin, as well as her half brother Amos Beard.
She is survived by three sons, Jack Allen and his wife Carolyn of Ruston, LA, Charles Allen and his wife Sandra of Castor, LA and Gary Allen and his wife Linda of Winnsboro, LA; one daughter Melba Sebren and her husband Don of Rayville, LA; one sister Doris Bowman ofOak Grove, LA; 18 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be grandsons, Randy Allen, Jerry Allen, Scott Allen, Dennis Sebren, Lamar Allen and Mark Bowman.
Honorary Pallbearers will be the remaining grandsons.
Visitation will be from 5-8 PM Monday and 12 noon until service time Tuesday at Calvary Baptist Church Mangham, LA
