Lola Brown Valot

Lola’s parents were Andrew Jackson Brown and Fannie Mae Linderman Brown. One of eight children, Lola was the last of her generation.

She was mother to Carl and Carolyn and wife to Eddie until his passing in May 2002.

Lola is survived by her son, Carl H. Valot, and his wife Jeri, of Cypress, Texas, and grandchildren, Sharon E. Anderson and her husband Bob of West Monroe, David E. Ellis of North Little Rock, Arkansas, Edward C. Valot, III and his wife Mary of Cypress, Texas, and Adriana L. Valot of Cypress, Texas; and plus several great and great-great grandchildren.

In her younger years, she was known as Rusty, but later in life most just called her Red. She had a wicked sense of humor and a razor-sharp wit. You always knew where you stood with her. Rusty was loved by many.

Special thanks to the staff of Ouachita Healthcare and Compassus Hospice and all the wonderful aides who gave loving care over the years.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, January 26, 2019, at Mulhearn Funeral Home, 300 McMillan Road, West Monroe, Louisiana.
