Loretta Cupples

July 14, 1947 — December 17, 2020

Loretta Young Cupples, 73, of Eros, LA, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, was born July 14, 1947 and went to join her late husband, Ronnie Cupples, and her eternal Father on December 17, 2020. A funeral service is scheduled for 2:00 P.M., Sunday, December 20, 2020, at Cheniere Baptist Church in West Monroe, LA. Reverend Bodie Spicer will be officiating.

Loretta is survived by her daughter, Cindy Cupples Smith and husband David and their children, Luke Smith, and wife Kayla, and Jessie Smith; her son, Ron Cupples, Julie Cupples and their daughters, Kennedy and Camryn; sisters, Debbie Greenwood and Linda Baird, and brother, Joe Young. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronnie Cupples, and her parents, Lorraine Bracewell Young and Lewis Allen Young.

Loretta was born in Madisonville, TX, on July 14, 1947. After graduating high school, Loretta chose the best job of all; being a stay-at-home wife and mom. The most important gift in her life was her family and she cherished every moment she spent with them. Loretta was married for 56 years to the love of her life, Ronnie. Hunting, fishing, traveling, camping, they did everything together. She especially cherished a vacation they took to Yosemite. Their love for each other was infinite and it is a comfort to know they are together again.

Loretta loved BIG. She was a completely devoted mother to her children and loved being Grammy to her grandchildren. She loved them with every ounce of her being and they absolutely adored her. Spending time with her family usually included dancing and singing around the kitchen while making one of her special treats. To everyone who knew and loved Loretta, they are sure to have heard the words “love you more.”

As we grieve the loss of this wonderful life, we rejoice in the knowledge that she is the arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Thank you Mom, Sis, Grammy, Aunt, Friend, for being the legacy of love you leave behind. “Love you more!”
