Funeral services for Mrs. Lucille Tidwell Adkinson, 81, of Sterlington, LA will be held at 10:00 AM Monday, December 31, 2007 at Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe, LA with Rev. Donnie Wilkinson officiating. Burial will follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery, Monroe.
Mrs. Adkinson passed away peacefully Saturday morning at her daughter’s residence, surrounded by her family. She was a loving mother and devoted wife. She loved cooking and fishing, and especially enjoyed spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Capt. Dale W. Adkinson, US Army Ret.
Survivors include her daughter, Patricia Emanuele and husband Michael of Prattville, Ala; sons, Dale W. Adkinson, Jr. and wife Katie of Columbia, MO and Vernon V. Adkinson and wife Ann of Sterlington, LA; brother, Vincy Tidwell and wife Clara of Monroe, LA; grandchildren, Mark Adkinson, August Adkinson, Daniel Adkinson, Joshua Adkinson, Alexa Emanuele, and Brittney Emanuele.
Pallbearers will be Cliff Tidwell, Rod Tidwell, Bill York, Jim York, Adam York, and Jason York.
Visitation will be Monday, December 31, 2007, from 9:00 AM until service time.
