Memorial services for Mr. Marc Richard Wicklund, 49, of Monroe, LA will be held at 6:00 PM Thursday, April 24, 2008, at Glenwood Medical Mall Community Room, West Monroe, LA.
Mr. Wicklund died Tuesday, April 22, 2008 in Monroe, with his family beside him. Marc was a popular local respiratory therapist for over seventeen years, working primarily at Glenwood Hospital and Pulmonary Rehabilitation Center. Marc attended high school and respiratory therapy school in Tucson, AZ, received his certification from Pima College in 1986, and continued on to receive licensure shortly thereafter. He was also a certified motorcycle mechanic.
Marc met and married his wife, Norma, in Tucson and they had their children there before moving to Prescott Valley, AZ in the late 1980’s and on to Monroe in 1989.
Survivors include his wife, Norma Wicklund; father, L. Richard Wicklund and wife Betty; mother, Shirley Wicklund; children, Jennifer and husband Justin, and Alex Wicklund; grandchildren, Emily and Logan; sister, Cheryl and husband Mark John; and many friends considered family.
Marc was loved by many and will be missed by all.
Special thanks to the doctors and nurses at St. Francis Hospital and his friend, Blane, who helped so much in Marc’s final days.
