Mary Jean Patrick Sewell

Funeral Services for Ms. Mary Jean Patrick Sewell, 77, of Monroe, LA, 1:00 PM Sunday, January 3, 2021, at North Monroe Baptist Church with Dr. Bill Dye and Rev. Warren Eckhardt officiating. Interment will follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery.

Ms. Sewell was born April 26, 1943 and went to be with her Lord and Savior on December 30, 2020. She was a member of North Monroe Baptist Church since 1975 and served as a Pre-School Sunday School teacher for 27 years. Ms. Sewell was employed with GreenPoint AG for over 30+ years. She enjoyed spending time with her family especially her grandchildren, attending performances at the Little Theater, attending annual birthday dinners with friends and listening to Gospel music.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Edgar and Myrtle Coleman Patrick; husband Henry Sewell; first husband, TJ Williams; step-son, Alan Gray; and brother-in-law, Bob Castilaw.

Survivors include: three children, Monty Jay Williams (Christina); Angie Hollis (Paul); Kathy Beebe (Lukas); step-children, Paul Gray (Robin), Terri Stephens (James), Dana Weibel (Craig), and Vicki Spears (Frankie); numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; siblings, Gwen Castilaw, Bobbie Jo Motherspaugh (Jerry), and Edgar Patrick (Connie); and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and special friend, Larry Hale.

Pallbearers will be Lofton Madden, Taylor Sadler, Randy Henson, Randy Orr, Justin Colquette, Chris Watkins, and Jamie Roberts. Honorary Pallbearers will be Greg Sadler and Bennie Guerrero.

Memorials may be made to North Monroe Baptist Church Children’s Ministry.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to her grandson, Tre’ Gilbert, for taking special care of MawMaw for the past several years and Dr. Byron Henry and staff, Dr. William Beebe and nurse, Pam at GRMC.

She was loved and will be missed by many!
