Maurice McDonald, Sr.

Funeral Services celebrating the life of Mr. Maurice McDonald, Sr., 83, of Eros, LA, will be 11:00 AM Monday March 5, 2018, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home in West Monroe with Rev. Herman Lenard officiating. Interment will follow at Old Bethel Cemetery in Clarks, LA.

Maurice was born August 19, 1934, in Clarks, LA and went to be with his Lord and Savior on March 2, 2018. He loved being outdoors, riding 4-wheelers and horses. He loved his dogs, but most of all spending time with his family.

He is preceded in death by his daughter, Sherry Ferris; son, Billy Mike McDonald; and two brothers, T.T. McDonald and Joe McDonald.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his daughter, Deborah Kottonbrook; daughter-in-law, Linda McDonald; son, Bennie “Petey” McDonald, Jr. and wife Pam; 7 grandchildren, Misty Douglas and husband David, Christopher Skains and fiancée, Amanda Gray, Tabitha Hudgins, Amanda McDonald, and fiancé, Steven Ellis, Joshua McDonald and wife, Bridgette, Lisa Ferris, Bennie Ferris, Christy Yates and husband Jamie; 18 great-grandchildren and one on the way; three sisters, Ruby Pickett and husband Jerry, Doris Frost, and Flora Matthis; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Pallbearers will be Joshua McDonald, Christopher Skains, Waylon Starr, Jamie Yates, Edward Ferris, and Bruce Withers.

Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM Sunday, March 4, 2018, at Mulhearn Funeral Home in West Monroe.
