Funeral Services for Mika Jene Peoples, 33, of West Monroe, LA will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, May 19, 2016 in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home West Monroe, LA with Rev. Floyd Hawthorne, Rev. Donnie Willis and Rev. Joel Dyke officiating. Interment will follow in the Aulds Chapel Cemetery Calhoun, LA.Mika was born on November 28, 1982 and passed away suddenly on May 15, 2016. She loved the outdoors and spending time with her mother. She is preceded in death by her father, Darral Peoples and by her step mother, Melanie Peoples.Survivors include her mother, Sharon Garland and husband, James; two half-brothers, Kirk and DJ Peoples of Macy, IN; step sisters, Sarah Gibson, Evan Thurston, and Jennie Garland; grandmother, Betty Willis; along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Pallbearers will be Dustin Willis, Keith Willis, Kent Willis, Jarrod Willis, Howard D. Smith, and Corey Owens.Visitation will be held from 12:00 P.M. until Service Time on Thursday.
