Funeral services for Mrs. Eva Evelyn Driggers Richards, 88, of West Monroe, LA will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday, July 26, 2010 in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home in West Monroe, La. with Rev. Rick Crandall officiating. Interment will be in Roselawn Memorial Garden in Calhoun, LA
 
Mrs. Richards was born April 29, 1922 in Saline, LA and passed away July 23, 2010 at Landmark Nursing Home in West Monroe, LA
 
Mrs. Richards retired from South Central Bell in 1979 after thirty years of service. She traveled extensive in her earlier years. She was married to M. F. “Phil” Richards for sixty years. Mrs. Richards was an active member of McClendon Baptist Church until her ill health prohibited her participation.
 
She was preceded in death by: Parents, Webbie and Sally Thraser Driggers and husband, M. F. “Phil” Richards.
 
Survivors: Nephew and wife, Jim and June Richards of Keller, TX; Nephew and wife, Donald and Judy Jones of Conway, AR; 1 other nephew and 2 nieces. She was also survived by other extended family members and friends.
 
Visitation will be from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Sunday July 25 and 9:30 A.M. Monday July 26 until service time at Mulhearn Funeral Home.
 
Pallbearers will members of McClendon Baptist Church.
 
A special word of appreciation is expressed to Dr. Don Hammett and his staff, Pastor Rick Crandall, the many members of McClendon Baptist Church and the nursing staff at Landmark Nursing Home.
