Norman L. “Pee Wee” AllbrittonFuneral services celebrating the life of Norman L. “Pee Wee” Allbritton, of Monroe, will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, March 7, 2015, in the Chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home of Monroe, with Dr. Craig West officiating. Interment will follow at Riverview Cemetery in Monroe under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home. Norman L. “Pee Wee” Allbritton passed away on Wednesday, March 4, 2015, at the age of 93. Born in Monroe, Louisiana, on February 26, 1922, he was an electrician for 45 years. After retirement from Allbritton Electric, he worked 12 years as Monroe City Electrical Inspector, retiring again at the age of 83. Mr. Allbritton was a member and past president of Graham Surghnor Masonic Lodge in Monroe and a member of First Baptist Church of Monroe. He was also a WWII veteran and proudly served in the Army Air Corps. He graduated from Ouachita Parish High School in the class of 1940 and attended Louisiana Tech until the war. He is preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Margueritte; parents, Kilie T. Allbritton and Birdie K. Allbritton, and brother, Buford W. Allbritton. He is survived by sister, Carla Everitt of Houston, Texas; four children, four grandchildren and two great grandchildren. His children are Monica Parrish and husband, Paul, of Oak Ridge, Louisiana; Norm Allbritton and wife, Stacey, of Jonesboro, Louisiana; Kilie Tim Allbritton and wife, Patti, of Woodstown, New Jersey; and Lee Allbritton of West Monroe, Louisiana. Grandchildren are Doug Parrish and wife, Summer, of Round Rock, Texas; Jillian Allbritton of Monroe, Louisiana; Kelley Allbritton and Erin Allbritton of Woodstown, New Jersey. Great grandchildren are Tabitha Parrish and “baby girl” Parrish (due to arrive soon). He is also survived by sisters-in-law, Malinda Hilton and Mattie Russell, as well as several nieces and nephews. He is also survived by a host of friends at McKeen Plaza, The Kitchen’s round table, and McDonald’s coffee group. Visitation will be held from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM, Friday, March 6, 2015 at Mulhearn Funeral Home of Monroe.Thank you to St. Joseph’s Hospice and Stat Care for your compassion and expertise in these last days. Pallbearers will be Terry Ganaway, John McCoy, Darvin Albritton, Jay Traylor and Willie Ragan. Honorary pallbearers will be his brothers of Graham Surghnor Lodge.
