Services for Ollie Jenkins Janway -Boyd will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, October 25, 2010, at Evangel Temple Assembly of God, Monroe, with Rev. Geary Phillips, Rev. Eugene Brown, and Rev. Bob Newman officiating. Burial will be at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery, under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Monroe.

Mrs. Boyd, 88, of West Monroe, passed away peacefully at her daughter's residence on Saturday, October 23, 2010. She was born in Sikes, Louisiana, on September 18, 1922 to Wilford J. and Essie Virginia James Jenkins of Sikes.

She was a member of Evangel Temple Assembly of God in Monroe. She was a woman of faith, devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She graduated from Crowville High School, Southwestern Bible Institute (Southwestern Assemblies of God University), Francis Beauty College, and was a Licensed Realtor. She was a helpmate to her late minister husband, Cecil T. Janway, in pastorates and state offices. She accompanied her husband (who sang and played an accordion) in singing ministry.

She was preceded in death by her first husband of 53 years, Reverend Cecil T. Janway; parents, Wilford J. Jenkins and Essie Jenkins Smith; granddaughter, Wendi Michelli Janway-Jones; brothers, Elmo Jenkins, Hersey Jenkins, Clinton Jenkins, Elmer Jenkins, Roger Jenkins and Lindsay Jenkins; sister, Cyrina Underwood Wilson.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Jack Boyd of West Monroe; her sons, Cecil Thomas Jr. and wife Rosalyn Janway of Monroe, John Mark Janway and Janet Bulloch of Monroe; daughters, Cecilia Ruth J. and husband Ronald Howard of Orange, TX and Mary Elizabeth Janway of Monroe; six grandchildren, Cecil Thomas Janway III of Monroe, Shane and wife Jennifer Dykes of West Monroe, David Dykes of Natchitoches, Bethany Mavis and husband Antonio Cuevas of San Antonio, TX, Senior Airman Jonathan and wife Rizzete Howard of Olympia, WA; and Joshua Janway of Houma; three great-grandchildren, Chloe Elizabeth Dykes of West Monroe, Zoe Elizabeth Jones of Monroe and Jace Anton Cuevas of San Antonio, TX; sister, Caroline Gail and husband Rev. Thomas Simons of Winnsboro. Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law.

Visitation will be 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM Sunday, October 24, 2010 at Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe.

Pallbearers will be Shane Dykes, David Dykes, Jonathan Howard, Joshua Janway, Jeremy Tinnerello, and Matthew Jones. Honorary pallbearers will be Cecil Thomas Janway III, Ray Janway, and Rev. Thomas Simons.
