Truly, she influenced all those who knew her. Ouida extended her devotion to education through various educational organizations, such as the Kappa Kappa Iota and Alpha Delta Kappa teacher sororities, where she served as president. Attending NLSC (currently ULM), she received top honor recognition in her graduating class in addition to being chosen along with three other women as “Outstanding Young Women of America” for achievement in cultural, civic and religious activities throughout the Twin Cities.Mostly, Ouida’s heart was devoted to her Lord and family.
