Funeral services for Patricia Ann Lane Green-a strong, loving Christian mother-will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, July 26, 2009 at the First Baptist Church in Rayville, LA with Dr. Max Lee officiating. Interment will follow in the Lynn Cemetery in Archibald, LA under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home of Rayville, LA. Pat was born April 15, 1944, in Monroe, LA, spent her childhood in Rayville, lived much of her active life as an member of the Winnsboro community, and passed away on July 24, 2009 in West Monroe, LA. She was a dedicated 25 year employee of Bancorp South, who was also a trusted friend and confidant to many. Pat was part of a sisterhood of friends who savored their yearly trips to the beach. She was a member of First Baptist Church of West Monroe, LA and Ruston Chamber of Commerce.
Mrs. Green was preceded in death by her mother Mary Lou McDonald Lane. She is survived by her father, Alvin Starnes Lane, Jr., along with three daughters and their husbands: Becky and Todd Etzel, Beth and Rodney Newsom, and Paula and Aftab “Kris” Krishna. Pat had eight grandchildren: Ethan Etzel, Annie Etzel, Blake Etzel, David Hassell, Seth Berry, Avery Newsom, Kaiden Krishna, and Sarah Grace Krishna. Also surviving Pat are her brother and his wife-Alvin S. “Bubba” and Ann Lane-and her sister and husband-Gay Nell and Ronald Middleton- as well as numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends.
The family offers a special thank you to Dr. Barry Weinberger for his commitment and dedication to our mother and special appreciation to Jennia Adams of Louisiana Hospice of Monroe for helping us during this time. Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society.
Pallbearers will be Ethan Etzel, Seth Berry, Blake Etzel, Dan Middleton, Josh Middleton, Stuart Dyer, and Bobby Bryant. Honorary pallbearers will be Timmie Ray Thames, Darrell “DWF” Ferguson, and Dr. Selwyn Ellis.
Visitation will be 5-7:00PM Saturday, July 25, 2009 at the Mulhearn Funeral Home in Rayville, LA.
