Graveside services for Patricia “Pat” Gayle Martin, 63, of Monroe, LA, will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, September 21, 2007, at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery with Rev. Shirley Davidson officiating. Services are under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe.

Mrs. Martin was born May 8, 1944, in Baton Rouge, LA. She entered The Golden Gates of Heaven on September 18, 2007, after a short, but, tough battle with cancer. She was a wonderful, caring, and loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and aunt. She had the biggest loving heart that found the good in everyone she came in contact with and an out of this world Beautiful Big Smile that just made you feel happy inside out when you saw it.

Mrs. Martin was preceded in death by her father, Robert Estelle Childree; step father, M. E. Bond; and her granddaughter, Raegan Nicole Wood.

Survivors include her husband of twenty-one years, Bobby Joe Martin, Sr.; six children, Bryan Douglas Cowart of Denham Springs, LA, Vicki Lynn Barrow and husband Billy of Germantown, TN, Scott Lane Cowart of Monroe, LA, Bobby Joe Martin, Jr. and wife Lisa of West Monroe, Terri Lynn Hicks and husband Gerry of West Monroe, and Angela J. Harris and husband Jamie of West Monroe, ten grandchildren, Devan Davis, Olivia Barrow, Lauren Cowart, Christopher Martin, Logan Martin, Krystle Ivey, Shane Hicks, USMC Private Christopher Storm, Caitlyn Harris, and Zachary Harris; one great-grandchild, Cole Ivey; mother, Geneva Bond of Denham Springs, LA; sister, Sue Andrews and husband Gary of Denham Springs, LA; mother-in-law, Bessie Golden of Monroe; two sisters-in-law, Bessie Fleming and husband Norman of Monroe, and Sue Kuykendall of Weatherford, OK; two brothers-in-law, Billy Martin and wife Debbie of Monroe, and Rickey Martin and wife Michelle of Monroe; numerous nieces and nephews, and many close dear friends who all loved her.

Visitation will be Thursday, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Mulhearn Funeral Home.
