Paul Allen Dunn departed the company of his friends, his family, this fragile earth on April 23, 2022, still wiser than any soul we know. He was born to Meredith Frances Beeson and John Paul Dunn on December 6, 1963 and remained ever present with them all the while until their lives were memory.
He was a comfort to his family, a master of song and guitar, a lover of the creation and charmer of snakes, a preparer of the feast, a friend if one was ever in the market for a friend, a liberal in principle and practice.
Left to ponder his absence are his sister, Jonna Dunn Harper; his nephews, John Tray Smith and Seth Patrick Harper; his niece, Gabriella Claire Harper; his aunts, Betty Beeson Helms, Bonnie Beeson Duffield, Lee Beeson Whiting, and Kathy Dunn Gunderson; and his special companion, Biscuit.
The family will gather in the fall for a time of remembrance. If you would like to make a donation in Allen’s honor please consider Black Bayou Lake National Wildlife Refuge, a place that sang ballads for his soul. Lift a glass and raise a song for our absent friend.
