Phillip Gregory “Greg” Alford
Funeral services for Phillip Gregory “Greg” Alford, 53, of Start, LA, will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, December 21, 2016 at Bible Missionary Church with Rev. Jesse Truitt officiating. Interment will follow at Start Cemetery, under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Monroe.
Mr. Alford died Saturday, December 17, 2016, at his residence. He loved deer hunting and being outdoors especially on his John Deere Tractor. He loved his family and friends and retired from State Troop F as a vehicle technician.
Mr. Alford was preceded in death by his mother, Martha Helen Alford.
Survivors include his wife, Lisa Spruell Alford; daughters, Jordan Taylor Alford, Jessie Micheala Alford and son Matthew Phillip Alford; father, George Phillip Alford; sisters, Dawn Alford, Rachel Alford Alden and husband Nick; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Mike Carter, Lamar Hillis, Charlie Shingler, Jeff Smith, Kevin Robinson, Mark Coughran, and Nick Alden.
Visitation will be 5:00 PM until 8:00PM Tuesday, December 20, 2016 at Mulhearn Funeral Home, Monroe.
The family wishes to extend their thanks to Louisiana Hospice and Palliative Care, St. Francis Hospital, Oncology Associates, M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, and to all of those who have helped along the way.
