Funeral services for Mr. Rex Bullock, 84, of Monroe, La. will be held at 10:00 A.M. Thursday April 26, 2007 in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home Sterlington Rd. Monroe, La. with Richard Byrd officiating. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday at Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Mooringsport, Louisiana.
Mr. Bullock was born July 23, 1922 in Pope County, AR, one of five children born to Neal and Vivian Perceful Bullock. Mr. Bullock was predeceased by all of his siblings and parents. He died April 23, 2007 at home following a brief illness
As a World War II veteran serving in Europe, Mr. Bullock participated in the invasion of France at Omaha Beach and retired from the military after 35 years of combined active and reserve military service. He was a lifetime member of the Retired Officers Association and a member of the Swartz Church of Christ.
Mr. Bullock is survived by his wife of 35 years, Sue Fedd Bullock; Son, Robert Bullock an wife, Vida of Little Rock, AR, 5 step-children, Tommy McJunkins and wife, Patti of Monroe, La.; Tim McJunkins and wife, Becky of Longview, TX; Sarah McAbee of Hartselle, AL; Joni Lindsay and husband, Jeff of Mooringsport, LA; and Trent McJunkins and wife, Lori of Monroe, La.; nine Grandchildren and six great grandchildren
Pallbearers will be his grandsons, Ashton Crawford, Bradley Crawford, Justin Lindsay, Brian Lindsay, Allan McJunkins and John T. McJunkins
Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. Wednesday at Mulhearn Funeral Home.
