Funeral services for Mr. Riley “Bo” F. Wilkerson, 83, of Monroe, will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, March 3, 2009, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe with Rev. Tom Lowe and Rev. John Jones officiating. Interment will follow in Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mr. Wilkerson, a retired machinist, passed away Saturday, February 28, 2009, at his residence after a lengthy illness. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Judy Fox Fryday; son, Gary Wayne Wilkerson; and sons-in-law, Danny Schooley and David Bennett.
Survivors include his wife of fifty-one years, Vada Wilkerson; daughters, Dottie Swain and husband Jake of Calhoun, LA, Joyce McNeely and husband Terry of West Monroe, LA, Pam Graves and husband Tony of Calhoun, LA, Tammy “Peanut” Schooley of West Monroe, LA, Tiffany Jones and husband Rev. John of Alto, LA, and Carolyn Waldroup and husband Ricky of Eros, LA; sons, Randy Wilkerson and wife Lauri of West Monroe, LA, and Kenny Wilkerson of West Monroe, LA; twenty grandchildren, twenty-two great grandchildren, and brothers, Sonny Wilkerson and Bill Wilkerson.
Pallbearers will be Mark Bennett, Robert Woodall, Charles Woodall, B. R. Netherland, Craig Bryan, and Randy Wygal. Honorary pallbearers will be Dale Rieger and John Paul Rieger.
Visitation will be Monday from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe.
