Services for Mr. Robert Douglas “Bob” Miller, of Baskin, LA., will be at 10:00 AM Saturday, June 18, 2016 at First United Methodist Church in Winnsboro with Rev. Shawn Hornsby officiating, under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home of Winnsboro.Born April 16, 1942 and died on June 11, 2016. He passed away suddenly in a tragic automobile accident at the age of 74. Robert Douglas Miller was a professional civil engineer and a graduate of Louisiana Tech University in Ruston, LA. He filled many management and executive positions with McDermott Inc. in Louisiana, Jordan, Nigeria, Dubai, and Singapore. Robert Douglas Miller is preceded in death by his parents: Roger and Ruby Miller and his wife of over 50 years, Betty Gibbs Miller. Survivors include: His three children: Melissa Miller Swope, John Robert Miller, his wife, Laura, Diana Jane Doucet, and with special acknowledgement to his nephew Michael Wayne Miller and Darlene Talbert, his granddaughters: Madeleine Doucet, Rebecca Doucet, Annalise Miller, grandsons: Andrew Miller Swope, Stefan Swope, Jack Swope, Simon Doucet, Robert Doucet, John Robert Miller II, brother, Roger Miller and Aunt, Gloria Nielsen, along with numerous other family members and close friends.The viewing will be held on Friday, June 17 from 5pm to 7pm at Mulhearn Funeral Home in Winnsboro, LA.
