Funeral services for Mrs. Roberta Hicks Allen, 93, of Monroe, LA will be held Saturday, January 26, 2008 following the visitation from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home at 2308 Sterlington Road, Monroe, LA. Interment will follow at Mt. Ararat Baptist Church, 792 Hwy 552, Downsville, LA with Rev. Terry Barnes officiating at the graveside service.
Mrs. Allen was born March 13, 1914 in Downsville, LA, and passed away after a short illness on January 23, 2008.
Mrs. Allen was a member of Parkview Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carlos S. Allen; parents, George Robert and Sallie Hicks; brothers, L.B. Hicks and Robert E. Hicks; sister, Rowena Fuller Jones.
Survivors include her son, Carl Fred Allen and wife Mary; granddaughter, Michelle Allen-Emerson and husband Robert; great granddaughter, Charlotte Allen- Emerson, and several nieces and nephews.
