Funeral Services for Mr. Ryan Breen, 36, of Calhoun, LA will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, August 22, 2009 at Cedar Crest Baptist Church, West Monroe with Dr. Greg Clark, Lamar Delony, and Robbie Compton officiating. Interment will follow at New Chapel Hill Church Cemetery, West Monroe.

Ryan, a loving husband to Tracey and father to Austin, fought with courage and determination for 6 years but was called home on August 20, 2009. His friends will remember his wit and outspoken nature, his love of the outdoors and fixing things; his family will remember his strength and love. Ryan was born December 6, 1972 in West Monroe. He graduated from West Monroe High School in 1990 and was manager of Shell Rapid Wash in Ruston. Ryan was a member of Cedar Crest Baptist Church, where his Sunday School class helped him so much for the last three years.

He is survived by his wife, Tracey Breen of West Monroe; son, Austin Ryan Breen of West Monroe; father, Richard Breen and wife Rachel of West Monroe; mother, Charlene Brakefield; mother in-law, Barbara Walters; father in-law, Rick Walters and wife Renee; three brothers, Michael Breen and wife Diana of Monroe, Chase Breen and wife Hollyn of West Monroe, and Cody Breen and wife Crystal of Ruston; sister in-law, Angela Helmer and husband Jay of Montgomery, AL; grandparents, Gerald and Ruth Sanderson of Choudrant, Ollene Norman of West Monroe, Alva Tidwell of West Monroe, and David and Lottie Bryan of West Monroe; two nieces, Lauren Breen of Monroe and Marley Helmer of Montgomery, AL; nephew, Connor Breen of Monroe; and special friend, Cindy Gordon.

Pallbearers will be Todd Smith, Justin Snowden, Clint Perodeau, Mike Moore, Kevin Hanks, and Rusty Wright.

Honorary pallbearers will be the Drew Bobcat 9-10 year old Tackle One Football team.

Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM Friday, August 21, 2009 at Cedar Crest Baptist Church, West Monroe.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
