Funeral services for Mrs. Sammie Carlene Nichols, 76, of West Monroe, La. will be held at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday October 31, 2007 in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home in West Monroe, La. with Rev. Dennis Harvey officiating. Interment will be in Twin Cities Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Nichols died October 29, 2007 at the Glenwood Regional Medical Center after a lengthy illness.

Mrs. Nichols was past president of Alpha Gamma Chapter of Epislon Sigma Alpha. She was employed at Drew Grocery Company and Central Bank for many years.

Mrs. Nichols was a loving wife, mother and granny. She was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Glynece Harvey, Sister, Virginia Morris and brother, Marvin Conger.

Survivors: husband of 57 years, Mr. H. T. Nichols, Son, Dennis Nichols and wife, Laura; Daughters, Sheila Harvey and husband, Dennis, Carla Ritchie and husband, Glenn and Laura Womack and husband, Jimmy; Grandchildren, Eric Ritchie, David Nichols, Melody Ritchie, Kyle Nichols, Ryan Ritchie, Samantha Womack and Nicholas Womack; Sister, Jean Henderson; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Eric, David, Kyle, Ryan and nephews, Randy Nichols, Curtis Nichols, Mark Cogburn and Paul Cogburn

Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Tuesday at Mulhearn Funeral Home in West Monroe, La.

Memorials may be made in lieu of flowers to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
