SARAH ROXIE GRIFFING WRIGHT WINNSBORO, LA MULHEARN FUNERAL HOMEWINNSBORO, LA Funeral services for Sarah Roxie Griffing Wright, 88 of Winnsboro, LA will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, January 31, 2008 in the Chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home of Winnsboro with Rev. Marion Spence and Rev. Chris Thomas officiating. Interment will follow in Crowville Masonic Cemetery under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home of Winnsboro. Mrs. Wright was born to the union of Arthur B. and Georgia King Griffing on October 4, 1919 and passed away on January 28, 2008. She was preceded her in death by her husband, James Norville Wright, brother; James Felder Griffing, grandson; Brad Alan Wright and nephew; Randy Griffing. She was a member of the Crowville United Methodist Church and a member of the Jersey Settlers that dates back to the arrival in the United States of John and Charles Westley. She was always pleased to say her heritage included five generations of Methodist ministers.  After her marriage she embraced the community Baptist Church and raised her family among the most wonderful friends and neighbors on earth at Hill Ridge Baptist Church. Survivors include: 2 Sons: Wade Wright and James Griffing Wright. 2 Daughters: Iva Wright Scott and Jeannette Wright Cascio. 2 wonderful and much loved daughters-in-law: Effie Arnold Wright and Maxine Walters Wright. 5 Grandchildren and 7 Great Grandchildren. 1 Brother: Ralph Griffing and wife, Jay. 1 Brother-in-law: Charles E. Wright and wife, Jewel. 2 Sisters-in-law: June Wright Wilson and Louise Walters Wright. A Number of Nieces and Nephews. Pallbearers will be grandsons; Andrew Scott, Kenneth Wright, Dane Scott, Anthony Powell, Sammy Collins, Gavin Powell and Scott Turner. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 30th at Mulhearn Funeral Home in Winnsboro.
