Funeral services for Mr. Tony Ryan Flowers, 24, of West Monroe will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday, June 4, 2009 in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe with Rev. Eddie Simmons officiating.
Tony was born June 16, 1984 in Monroe, LA and passed away May 31, 2009 in West Monroe, LA. After serving his country in the United States Army, Mr. Flowers was recently discharged with a rank of E-4. While in the Army, Tony achieved several decorations, awards, and medals which included: Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal, Army Good Conduct Medal, Humanitarian Service Medal, Iraq Campaign Medal with Campaign Star (2nd Award), Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon, Combat Action Badge, and Driver and Mechanic Badge. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, four-wheeler riding, and guns. He is preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Loyd Terrell Flowers and maternal grandfather, Alfred Pilgram.
He is survived by his wife, Meagan Michelle Harsin Flowers; father, Mark Stephen Flowers; mother, Gaye Flowers Zeigler and husband Michael J.; brother, Anthony Todd Flowers and wife Ashley and their daughter, Sophia; sister, Traci Elizabeth Flowers; step brother, Brian Zeigler; step sister, Michelle Skelton; mother in-law, Gayle Harsin; paternal grandmother, Joyce Sanders; maternal grandmother, Marie Calhoun Pilgram; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM Wednesday at Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe.
Memorials may be made to a fund in honor of Tony at Community Trust Bank.
