Funeral Services for Mrs. Viola Mae Harper, 76, of Downsville, LA will be held at 10:00 A.M. Thursday August 23, 2007 in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home West Monroe, LA. Interment will follow in the Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Calhoun, LA
Mrs. Harper was born on May 25, 1931 and passed away on August 20, 2007 at the Glenwood Regional Medical Center in West Monroe, LA. In her younger years, Mrs. Harper enjoyed Bowling. She loved her animals also. Mrs. Harper is preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Harper; parents, William and Irene Rector and by her brother, Kenneth Rector.
Survivors include her three children, Janet Wesselhoft of Brookhaven, MS, Terry Watkins of West Monroe, LA and Russell Watkins of Farmerville, LA; eight grandchildren, Kevin Yerger, Wendy Maples, Michael Smith, Heather Lavoie, Jamie Watkins, Tristan Watkins, William “Rusty” Watkins and Sarah Buford; six great grandchildren and sister, Betty Worley of Kansas City, MO.
Mrs. Harper’s grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. Wednesday at Mulhearn Funeral Home West Monroe, LA
