Virginia Elaine LeDoux

We regretfully announce the passing of Virginia Elaine Stapleton LeDoux of Monroe Louisiana on February 9th, 2021. Virginia passed away peacefully with her daughter by her side.

Virginia was one of the strongest, most courageous. bravest, kindest women to ever walk this earth.

Virginia was a wonderful, loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and aunt who gave her all to her family. We will never be able to fill the space left behind by her.

Virginia was preceded in death by parents John Wesley and Fannie Laura Davis Stapleton, brothers: Rudolph, Paul and Carroll Gene Stapleton, sisters: Francis Lary, Reba Stapleton, Arlene Ruddell, Uda Lea Stapleton, Estelle Allen. Virginia is survived by her daughter Michelle LeDoux and husband Edwin Cannon, two sisters: Jo Ann Stapleton Bresett, Betty Ruth Stapleton Sharp (husband David), grandsons: Kodee Mikel Washington and Kile Robert Washington step granddaughters Brittany Jackson husband Brandon, Courtney Younse and husband Thomas.

Virginia enjoyed reading, cooking (and she was a great "cooker" just ask her nephews), she also loved to travel with her daughter Michelle and son-in-law Edwin as well as playing bingo and slots with her sisters Jo Ann and Betty Ruth.

Memorial services will be Saturday February 13th, 2021 at Mulhearns Funeral Home 165 North with visitation from 1pm-2pm and the Memorial service 2:00 pm.
