Vivian Rawls McHenryFuneral services for Mrs. Lula Vivian Rawls McHenry, 91, of Monroe, Louisiana, will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, April 7, 2015, at Mulhearn Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel with Rev. Richard Norman officiating. Interment will follow in Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home of Monroe.Mrs. McHenry passed away on March 31, 2015, at Christus St. Joseph’s Nursing Home. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lt. Col. Patton Dunning McHenry, Sr.; father, Norman Randolph Rawls; mother, Lula Fannie Rawls Nelson; sister, Fannie Marie Rawls, and brother, Norman Ray Rawls. Mrs. McHenry had been a member of Grace Episcopal Church since 1942. She retired from AT&T but also worked for South Central Bell and Bell South. Mrs. McHenry was a member and former Captain in the Civil Air Patrol, member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary Post 13, Telephone Pioneers, Life Liners Line Dance Team, McHenry Family Philanthropy to Education and the Arts, and the Fort Miro Chapter of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution. Survivors include her son, Lt. Col. Patton Dunning McHenry, Jr., retired, of Monroe, Louisiana; grandsons, Brian David McHenry and wife Tabitha; and Brandon Lance McHenry and wife Rozana Binet Abdull “Roz” Razak McHenry; great grandchildren, Sarah Aisha Biente Hamzah McHenry and Adam Zuluquirman Bin McHenry.Visitation will be from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM, Tuesday, April 7, 2015, at Mulhearn Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel.
