Zelma Callie Crawford Eubanks, 90 years, 9 months, 22 days young, a native of Richland Parish, was born October 21, 1923, in Mangham, Louisiana. She passed away on August 12, 2014.at St. Dominic Hospital, in Jackson, Mississippi, while her son Limeul held her hand. She is preceded in death by her parents, Mr. Henry Washington. Crawford and Bea Weston Crawford, husband of 63 years, Almond Theodore Eubanks Sr., and brother and sister-in-law Mr. & Mrs. Othor Major Crawford Sr., baby brother, brother-in-laws Jerry Revis, John “Zeke” Ramsey, Sister-in-Law Karen Harp Crawford, and nieces, Rhonda Crawford Bishop, Patsy Eubanks Hendrix, great niece Barbara Hales, grandson James Arthur Killen Jr. She leaves her daughters; Rita Eubanks Jordan, of Monroe, Louisiana, Pamela “Sissy” Eubanks Cobb of Fort Worth, Texas, Sons; Almond Theodore “Ted” Eubanks Jr. of West Monroe, Louisiana., Limeul Lew Eubanks of Madison, Mississippi, sisters; Hilda Gay Crawford Ramsey of Rayville, Louisiana, Ida “Tiny” Crawford Revis of Farmerville, Louisiana, Brother, Pete Crawford of Pawnee, Oklahoma, Uncle Ted Crawford of Rayville and good friends Eddie Jeselink of Farmerville, Louisiana, and Harrison Victor Pittman III of Madison, Mississippi, Seven Grandchildren, Lee DeSpain, Michael Weston Jordan, Stephen James Jordan, Vanessa Eubanks Harrell, Callie Eubanks Word, Amy Eubanks Sutton, John Thomas Eubanks, and nine great grandchildren. Other Eubanks family members are Jo Ann and Tom Hendrix, Johnny and Sharon Eubanks, Donnie and Hazel Eubanks, James Hendrix. Other Crawford family members are Cousins, Ethelle Crawford Fountain of Long Island, New York, Virginia Crawford Watson, and Virgil Crawford of Rayville, Louisiana, three nephews, five nieces and eight great nephews and seven great nieces.She was a Charter Member of Eastside Baptist Church, in Rayville, Louisiana, and enjoyed working as a nurse at the Ball and Ellington Clinic, the Richland Parish Hospital, and Colonial Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was a forty-four year breast cancer survivor had a wonderful sweet spirit and a loving nature. The Eubanks and Crawford families are thankful for dedication; support and care provide to Mrs. Zelma Eubanks, over the past three years by Mr. Raymond Burgett, the Executive Director of the Brandon Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, and all of the wonderful staff. Visitation will be Thursday from 4 pm to 7 pm and Friday from 8:30 am to 10:00 am at the Mulhearn Funeral Home in Rayville, Louisiana. She will be laid to rest at on Friday, August 15, 2014, 11:00 am at the Lone Cherry Cemetery, under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home of Rayville, Louisiana, the service will be officiate by The Rev. Seth M. Walley, Saint James’ Episcopal Church, of Jackson, Mississippi.I held my Mother’s hand one last time as I said good-bye to her loving spirit for now.
