Adele Fowler Davis, 93, of Camden, Arkansas, formerly of Conroe, Texas, passed away peacefully on May 24, 2026. She was born on September 6, 1932, in Winnsboro, Louisiana, to Ervin and Rachel Wilson Fowler.

Adele grew up in Winnsboro and completed her high school education there. She later earned her cosmetology license and eventually moved to Conroe, Texas, where she retired from Armour and Company of Houston. After retirement, Adele embraced her love of nature, becoming an accomplished gardener and breeder of exotic chicken varieties. She spent countless joyful hours in her greenhouses and gardens tending to rare plant species. She was also a devoted dog lover, especially fond of her pugs.

Adele was preceded in death by her parents; her sons, Melvin Del Rio Jr., Ervin Del Rio, Richard Del Rio, and Thomas Del Rio; her grandchildren, Heather Michelle Del Rio and Michael Dewayne Del Rio; and her brother, James Henry Fowler of Houston, Texas.

She is survived by her spouse, Dennis Davis of Conroe, Texas; her stepchildren, James Davis of San Antonio, Texas, and Cindy Owens of Dallas, Texas; three grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, Charles A. Fowler (Connie) of Chidester, Arkansas.

A family visitation will be held on 2:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M., Friday, May 29, 2026 at Proctor Funeral Home in Camden, Arkansas.

A graveside service will follow on Wednesday, June 3, at 2:00 P.M. at Ogden Cemetery in Liddieville, Louisiana. All who knew and loved Adele are welcome to attend.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Ouachita County Animal Protection Society (OCAPS) at 870‑807‑0037, honoring Adele’s lifelong love of animals.
