Funeral services for Mr. Albert Doyle Nelson, 84, of Monroe, LA, will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, May 23, 2026, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home Sterlington Rd., Monroe, LA, with Rev. Peter Mangham and Deacon Bill Goss officiating. Interment will follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery in Monroe. Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. on Friday, May 22, 2026, at Mulhearn Funeral Home Sterlington Rd.

Mr. Nelson was born on July 30, 1941, in Columbia, LA, and passed away May 20, 2026, in Monroe, LA.

Mr. Nelson attended Ouachita Parish High School, and later owned Doyle Nelson’s Barbershop on South Grand. He loved working in the garden as well as working on and restoring cars. He enjoyed hunting and camping with his family and was always available to lend a helping hand.

Mr. Nelson was preceded in death by his mother, Betty Odell Nelson; father, Emil Elmo Nelson; and daughters, Marie Odell Nelson and Kim Raechelle Nelson.

Survivors include his wife, Sidney Nelson, and his son, Toby Nelson.
