Alexandra “Allie” Storm Payne was born in West Monroe, Louisiana, on February 20, 1972. She passed away surrounded by family and friends on October 12, 2025. She was truly one of a kind and brought an undeniable energy into every room she entered. Allie was a force to be reckoned with; nobody loved harder or more fiercely than she did.
She devoted her life to her children, family, friends, and patients. Allie made it her life’s mission to care for everyone and everything, right up to her last day. Like her father, she never found an animal she couldn’t love (other than possums). Like her mother, she played a mean game of cards. She was a fighter (as attested by her doctors), a caretaker, a follower of Jesus, and someone who never stopped trying to be the best version of herself. She will be missed beyond what words can describe.
She is survived by her husband, Craig Payne; her children, Landon “Lou” Storm-Herman (husband Alex Storm-Herman) and Christopher Slavant (wife Breanna Woods Slavant); her brother John Storm IV and wife Jessica Storm; her many nieces and nephews, Jagger Storm, Lennon Storm, Johnny Storm, and Lilah Mae Storm; her sister Amber Storm; best friend Nicole Wyant Franks; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and her beloved pets.
She will be greeted at Heaven’s Gate by her parents, John and Delilah Storm; her grandparents, Robert and Gladys Turnage and John and Beverly Storm; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins who will be overjoyed to see her again.
“Things we lose have a way of coming back to us in the end, if not always in the way we expect.” — Luna Lovegood
And so, to our person, our mom, our Aunt Allie, our Allie Cat, we will look for you in everything. In the Louisiana sky. In the cypress trees. In the cotton blossom breeze. We will look for you everywhere, so that you can never be truly gone. You will only come back to us each and every day.
We love you. Thank you for being ours.
