Memorial services for Amanda Sue “Susie” Price, of Monroe, Louisiana, will be held at New Light Baptist Church, 2477 Prairie Road, Monroe, LA at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, August 1, 2026, with Brother Lindel Stewart officiating. Visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service. Susie was born August 19, 1952, in Monroe, Louisiana, and passed peacefully on July 1, 2026.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 54 years, Johnnie Norris Price; her sister, Kathy Hale (Choeau) of Monroe; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Butch and Skeeter Desidere; and her brother, Steve Desidere.

Susie was a native of Monroe and graduated from Ouachita Parish High School. She was a retired Pupil Appraisal Senior Admin for Ouachita Parish School System.

Susie expressed her love through home-cooked meals and an open door. She welcomed everyone with open arms, making each person feel like family. Her home was a place of comfort, laughter, and unconditional love. In her heart she was a mom, and aunt to many and they all brought her endless joy.

The family extends heartfelt gratitude to the staff of St. Francis Medical Center and St. Joseph Hospice for the care and compassion they provided during Susie’s final days.
