Amy was born on August 30, 1971, in West Monroe, Louisiana and passed away on September 30, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.
A beloved wife, daughter, mother, grandmother, and friend, Amy lived a life filled with love, kindness, and devotion to those who meant the most to her. Her gentle spirit, caring heart, and unwavering faith left a lasting impression on everyone blessed to know her.
A proud graduate of St. Frederick High School, Amy spent four years playing softball, earning the distinction of having the highest batting average her senior year. Her determination, dedication, and team spirit were qualities that would continue to shine throughout her life. She later graduated from the University of Louisiana at Monroe with a degree in Education, following her passion for teaching and nurturing young minds. Amy began her teaching career at Woodlawn Elementary in West Monroe, where she shared her love of learning and made a difference in the lives of her students. Teaching was more than a profession to Amy; it was an opportunity to encourage, inspire, and care for others.
While Amy took great pride in her career, her most treasured role was that of a wife, mother, and grandmother. She married the love of her life, Paul Davis, and together they built a life centered on love, family, and countless precious memories. Her daughters, Tori and Brenna, were among her greatest blessings, and becoming a grandmother brought her a special joy that filled her heart. Her family was her greatest treasure, and the love she poured into their lives will remain with them forever.
Amy was a faithful member of First Methodist Church in Monroe, where her faith was an important part of her life. During her illness, her trust in the Lord strengthened her and gave her a deep and abiding peace. Even in the most difficult moments, her faith reminded her that there was hope beyond this earthly life. Though her family and friends mourn the loss of her presence, they find comfort in knowing that Amy is now at peace in the presence of Jesus, rejoicing in the promise of eternal life.
She is preceded in death by her father, Murphy Dewayne Copeland; father-in-law, Paul Davis, Sr.; maternal grandparents, Klien and Virginia Crow; and paternal grandparents, Fellie and Genoa Copeland.
Those left to love and cherish her memory are her loving husband, Paul Davis, Jr.; daughters, Tori Davis Cline and Brenna Davis; granddaughters, Remi, Karsyn, and Davis Cline; parents, Bob and Brenda Rowan; brothers, Cory Copeland (Rita) and Cameron Rowan (Erin); stepmother, Linda O’Neal; mother-in-law, Suellen Davis; sister-in-law, Karen Davis; cherished nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins; and her special, devoted friend, Crystal Dillard.
Amy's life was a beautiful reflection of the love she gave so freely to others. She will be remembered for her devotion to her family, her dedication to her students, and the faith that carried her through life's greatest challenges. Though her time here feels far too short, the memories she created, the lives she touched, and the love she leaves behind will never fade.
