Anna was born on March 19, 1993, in Monroe, LA, and passed away on July 31, 2026, at her home in Monroe.
Anna was the type of person who held her relationships with friends and family very close. If you did right by her, then she was loyal to you without question. I think she viewed her aunts, uncles, and cousins as more of her additional mothers, fathers, brothers, and sisters. And we all saw Anna as our family’s little sister.
When it came to her friendships, it wasn’t any different. If you found yourself becoming friends with Anna, then you had just made a friend for life. To be loved by Anna was a huge honor in itself.
Throughout all of the curveballs and obstacles, she created a beautiful life—a life fulfilled with family and friends who loved her dearly.
As a child, Anna enjoyed pretty much anything that involved Britney Spears, the Olsen twins, Beanie Babies, and Barbies. If you can think of something that was big in the ’90s, you can rest assured that Anna was a fan.
Anna also thoroughly enjoyed going to eat at Jade Garden with our beloved Granny and Mr. Sam Hightower. If there was a points system for dining there, then Anna would have had the high score.
Throughout Anna’s life, the theme started to become a story of perseverance, but equally a story of success. It wasn’t a matter of “if” Anna was going to get back up after being knocked down, but rather a matter of “how” or “when.” We are so incredibly proud of Anna. Throughout all of the curveballs and obstacles, she created a beautiful life—a life fulfilled with family and friends who loved her dearly. May she rest in peace with Jesus and all the ones who have gone before her. We love you, Anna.
