Anna Louise Vittoria Arthur was born on November 17, 1927, in Independence, Louisiana, to Margarito Sampere and Rosario Vittoria. She lived a long life rooted in faith and family.

She was preceded in death by the love of her life and husband of 68 years, John Bennett Arthur Jr., and their infant daughter, Joyce. Ann and John shared a deep devotion to one another and to their church family at St. Joseph Catholic Church, where Ann faithfully served as a member of the Altar Society and the Progressive Men’s Club Women’s Auxiliary.

Ann’s greatest joy was her family. She is lovingly remembered by her children, Pat Evans (Charles), John Arthur (Julie), and Roy Arthur (Terri). She treasured her role as a grandmother to Cynthia Nyquist, Victoria Christy (Hunter), Jayme Peres (Ric), and Morgan Evans, and was blessed to know and love her six great-grandchildren: Arthur, Madeline, Grayson, Lillie Rose, Sophia, and Elizabeth.

The family is deeply grateful to The Guest House, her devoted sitter Teri Logue, and Elara Hospice for the kindness, compassion, and care shown to Ann.

Funeral service for Mrs. Anna Louise Vittoria Arthur will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Friday, January 2, 2026, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home on Sterlington Road Monroe with Deacon Tom Deal officiating. Interment will follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park Mausoleum. Visitation will be from 12:00 P.M. on Friday, January 2, 2026, until service time at the funeral home

Memorials may be made in Anna’s memory to Grace Place, the Warrior Athletic Foundation to support St. Frederick Athletics, or a charity close to your heart.
