Mr. Pearce was born on September 10, 1937, in Franklin Parish, Louisiana and entered Heaven’s pearly gates on January 3, 2026.
Above all, Arthur loved his family deeply and without reservation. He was married to the love of his life for sixty-five years, Barbara Ann. Together they built a life filled with love. His family always came first, he loved his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. He would always say, “I love you more.” His devotion to those he cherished was unwavering, and he carried them in his heart through every season of life. He shared a particularly special bond with his sister, Mary.
A proud United States Army veteran, Arthur served his country with honor and humility. His years in uniform shaped the discipline, courage, and devotion to others that defined him long after his service ended.
Arthur found his greatest joy beneath open skies. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, happiest with a rod in his hand, a rifle slung over his shoulder, or a campfire crackling nearby. Nature was his sanctuary, a place where he felt closest to God and most at peace.
A devout Christian, Arthur lived his faith with sincerity and conviction. He loved Jesus Christ with all his heart, and his life reflected that love in the way he treated others with kindness, patience, and quiet strength. His faith was not merely spoken; it was lived.
He is preceded in death by his beloved wife of sixty-five years, Barbara Ann; father, Arthur Morgan Pearce; mother, Viola S. Pearce; stepbrothers, Hilton Pearce, Thomas B. Pearce, and Earl McDuffie; stepsisters, Arnelle Harrison and Nellie Foster; and brothers, Johnny Pearce, Richard “Dick” Pearce, and Samuel Pearce.
Those left to honor and cherish his memory are his children, Arthur M. “ Matt” Pearce, Jr. and wife, Tabitha, Arnie G. Pearce and wife, Tiffany, and Rhonda Frith and husband, Shannon; sister, Mary White; grandchildren, Whitney Guerrero (Timmy), Blake Pearce, Morgan Pearce (Cindy), Logan Robison, Samuel Pearce, Josiah Pearce, Milo Pearce, Josh Frith, and Madison Coleman (Wes); great grandchildren, Presley Guerrero, Bella Guerrero, Hannah Pearce, Ruth Pearce, and Jude Coleman; and special friends, Charles and Frankie McQuillin, Joe and Betty Prysock, and Laura and Malcolm Dove.
The pallbearers will be Arnie Pearce, Shannon Frith, Blake Pearce, Morgan Pearce, Logan Robison, and Timothy Guerrero.
Honorary pallbearers will be John Jay Pearce, Buddy Mann Pearce, Charles McQuillin, Wesley Coleman, Joe Prysock, Billy W. Copeland, Colby R. Nichols, and Josiah Pearce.
Arthur leaves behind a legacy of integrity, warmth, and steadfast love. Those who knew him will remember his gentle smile, his stories from the woods and water, and the way he made everyone feel welcome and valued.
Though he will be deeply missed, his family and friends take comfort in knowing he is now at peace, reunited with loved ones, and resting in the presence of his Savior. May his memory be a blessing, and may his life continue to inspire all who knew him.
