It is with deep sadness and heartbreak to announce the passing of Audria Mary McFarland. A private service of remembrance was held at 10:00 AM, October 8, 2025, at the Mulhearn Park Mausoleum Chapel in Monroe, La.
Audria was born to the union of Lonis and Zoie Guillot in Marksville, La on January 13, 1937 and passed from this earth on October 5, 2025 surrounded by her family.
Audria was a dedicated Christian all her life, and her family was her world. She was a devoted wife to her husband, Ken, whom she shared 47 years with before his passing, a loving mother to her daughter, Kendy, and a proud “Mawmaw” to her two grandchildren Cassidy and Evan. If you spoke with her she would never fail to mention her tremendous pride and love for her family. One of her greatest joys was attending events for her grandchildren and supporting them in any way she could.
Audria worked in the insurance, finance, and accounting industry. She was blessed to travel for many years with work before settling down at the accounting/payroll department at North Monroe Hospital and St. Francis Medical Center where she worked for 27 years before retirement.
Audria had a personality that lit up the room and a laugh that was contagious. She always made sure everyone around her was constantly taken care of, and she never failed to bring joy and smiles everywhere she went. During her later years she would regularly spend time playing bingo which was one of her favorite hobbies.
She was preceded in death by her husband, K.W. “Ken” McFarland; her sister, Dotris Terrell and husband Avery; her parents, Zoie Hayes Guillot, Lonis B. Guillot and wife, Camella Drago Guillot.
Survivors include her daughter, Kendy McFarland Walton of Monroe; two grandchildren, Cassidy Lea Walton and Evan Ryan McFarland; along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Although nothing will fill the void that she left when she went to her heavenly home we find comfort in knowing she is with our Lord and family that has already departed.
Memorials may be made to the Susan G. Komen Foundation for Breast Cancer Awareness. Audria was a survivor of 22 years and was a large advocate for this cause.
