Funeral services celebrating the life of Barbara Gail Poe Henry, 70, of Downsville, LA will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday April 6th, 2026, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home in West Monroe, LA with Rev. Phillip Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Drew Cemetery in West Monroe, LA

Visitation will be from 12:00 P.M. until service time Monday at Mulhearn’s.

Mrs. Henry was born on January 27, 1956, in Monroe, Louisiana and passed away on April 1, 2026, at her residence in Downsville, LA surrounded by her loving family.

Barbara Gail was the owner of Geaux Cheer Uniforms. She was a very talented designer, seamstress and decorator. She was the life of the party, strong willed, and would tell you how she saw it. Barbara was an animal lover and took in strays throughout the years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ella Francis and Edward Hugh Poe, and her beloved son, James Lee (Pee Wee) Poe.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 42 years, Frank Henry; son, Larry Wayne Lewis; Brothers, Steve Poe and Robert Poe; 3 Grandchildren, Hunter, Brandon, and Jesse; several nieces and nephews; one great great niece; and two great great nephews.

Pallbearers will be Hunter Lewis, David Poe, Randy Purvis, Mikey Summerville, Josh Nunn, Brandon Russell and Aidan Purvis.
