A memorial service for Betty Hoover Brown, 87, of Monroe, LA, will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, July 25, 2026, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home Sterlington Rd., Monroe, LA, with Rev. James Doughty officiating. Inurnment will follow at Loch Arbor Baptist Church Cemetery in Swartz, LA. Visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. until service time at the funeral home.

Mrs. Brown was born on October 28, 1938, and passed away on July 13, 2026, in Shreveport, LA. She was a member of First Monroe Baptist Church.

Mrs. Brown was preceded in death by her husband, Jackie Ray Brown; and siblings, George Hoover (Bermel), Barbara Hoover, and William Hoover.

Survivors include her son, Jay Brown (Kristin); grandchildren, Ryan, Tracy, Kassidy, and Aiden; great grandchild, Brynnley; son, Jeffery Brown (Susan); grandchildren, Amy, Logan, and Lauren; and great grandchildren, Pierce, Gisella, and Henry.

The family would like to thank Lynn Savell, Linda Frazier, and all of the friends at Frances Tower, who showered Betty with love and friendship over the years.
