Betty Jo Glasner

Memorial services for Mrs. Betty Jo Glasner, 89, of Monroe, LA, will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, August 9, 2025, at Trinity Lutheran Church with Rev. Kyle Will officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. until service time Saturday at Trinity Lutheran Church. Private interment will be in Mulhearn Memorial Park under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home Sterlington Rd. Monroe.

Mrs. Glasner was born on March 30, 1936, in Transylvania, LA, to Roy and Jeannette Sullivan and passed away on August 4, 2025, in Monroe. She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Monroe. Mrs. Glasner worked as a nurse in Texas, Montana and Colorado prior to her retirement. She moved to Monroe to help her sister Shirley.

Mrs. Betty became an active member of Trinity Lutheran church, singing in the choir and Bible Study. Betty loved children and was a “Nanny” to several children over time. They loved her. She enjoyed playing her electric piano. Betty had a standing date for years to play games, especially Rummikub. She was a fixture at Aron’s Pharmacy lunch counter. She will be missed by all who knew her.

Mrs. Betty is preceded in death by her parents, seven siblings and her daughter, Vickie Glasner. Those left to cherish her memory are stepson, Steven Glasner; step granddaughters, Susan (Matt) Butkiewiez; and children, Marissa, Bradley and Madison and Kim (Jon) Ostrowski; grandchildren, Gavin, Lincoln and Finn; many nieces and nephews; and friends, Ed and Tommy Sue Johnson; as well as too many friendships to name.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church or a charity of choice.
