Billie Bush

Mrs. Billie Bush was born September 4, 1942, in St. Joseph, LA, and passed away March 23, 2023, at her home in West Monroe, LA. She graduated from Joseph Moore Davidson High School in St. Joseph, LA. She worked for Mulhearn Protective Insurance Company for over 35 years and owned A&W Root Beer stand in West Monroe, LA.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John Alexander Smith and Lillian Marie Smith; sisters, Mary Purdion and Martha “Lil Johnnie” Smith; brothers, Edward Smith, Walter Smith, Howell Smith, Carl Smith, and Joseph Wayne Smith; and mother-in-law, Helen Stanley.

Survivors include her husband, James Underwood; daughter, Brandy McDaniel (Raymond); stepson, James Underwood, Jr.; sisters, Bobbie Ann Haile (Willie), and Willie Lee Edwards; brother, J.W. Smith (Fay); and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, April 2, 2023 at Community Baptist Church in West Monroe, LA with Rev. Danny McIlveene officiating.

Visitation will be from 1:00 P.M. until service time at the church.
