Visitation will be from 5:00PM until 7:00PM Tuesday, October 21, 2025, at the funeral home.
Ms. Hunt passed away peacefully on October 18, 2025, surrounded by love from her children — Veronica and her husband, Taylor, and Ellis and his wife, Alexis.
A proud graduate of Wossman High School, Class of 1974, Ms. Hunt was a member of the school’s dance team. In her early years, she worked diligently cleaning for Mulhearn Funeral Home, Cypress Street Church of God, and many other local businesses and families. She also served as a teller for a local bank and consultant for a local insurance company and faithfully delivered newspapers for The News-Star for many years.
This past year, Billie Jean joyfully celebrated her 50th class reunion with her sister, Mary Sue, and had the best time reconnecting with lifelong friends. She was truly the life of the party — always making everyone laugh with her quick wit, funny comments, and zest for life.
Ms. Billie loved spending time with her IOP group, who became like family to her. She especially enjoyed cokes, spaghetti, cozy sweatpants, her plants, and watching Cops and American Idol. In recent years, she was blessed to travel to places like Broken Bow, the beach, and Hot Springs, making cherished memories with her family along the way. In her final years, she found comfort and peace surrounded by the love and devotion of her children, especially the care and companionship of her daughter, Veronica.
She was preceded In death by her mom, Shirley Joann Corrent; and father, AJ Corrent.
Survivors include her children, Charlie Perry; Ellis Hunt and wife, Alexis, of West Monroe; and Veronica Lowry and husband, Taylor, of West Monroe; her sister, Mary Sue Thrash; brother; Jay Corrent; grandchildren, Trey, Cason, Chandler, Caden, Landon, and Henry; along with other relatives and dear friends who loved her dearly.
Pallbearers will be Ellis Hunt, Taylor Lowry, Jet Tarver, Benson Kinney, and Cole Sullivan, and Allen Perritt.
The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to all those who cared for Ms. Billie throughout her life, including Dr. Frank Weinholt, Dr. Emily Kinney, Mike Smith (her IOP counselor), and the many dedicated home health professionals who supported her with compassion.
