Billie Vernell Miller, age 84, of West Monroe, Louisiana, went to be with the Lord on November 11, 2025. She was born on February 9, 1941, in Athens, Louisiana, to Vernon William Triplett and Bernice Ione Evans and passed away on November 11, 2025 at her home in West Monroe, LA.
Billie attended two years of college and lived a life centered on faith, family, and kindness. She was married to the love of her life, Chuck Miller, until his passing on December 28, 2015. Together, they built a beautiful life filled with love and devotion.
A woman of strong faith, Billie shared her beliefs with others through teaching catechism for four years every Sunday at St. Lawrence’s Church. In recent years, she continued her spiritual journey by faithfully watching Family Church online.
Her days were filled with joy in the simple pleasures—reading her Bible daily, working puzzles, drawing, crocheting, and, most of all, spending time with her beloved family. Her warmth, patience, and love touched everyone who knew her. Billie was an avid New Orleans Saints fan.
She is survived by her loving children: Sharon Weemes and husband Mike, Cathy Davis and husband Kenny, Morris “Scooter” Jones, Landra Harrison and husband Jamie, and James “Jamie” Jones; stepson, Mike Miller; sister, Linda Cunningham; brother, Robert Triplett, and wife Sherri ; son-in-law, Dick Clark. Billie leaves behind a remarkable legacy through her 19 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren, 6 great-great-grandchildren, and countless nieces, nephews, and special friends who loved her dearly.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Chuck Miller; daughters, Terri Clark and Morrisette Jones; stepdaughter, Amanda Miller; sister, Martha Anderson; grandson, Billy Hall; and her parents, Vernon and Bernice Triplett.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00PM Friday, November 14, 2025 in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe with Pastor Terry Taylor and Pastor Richard Richardson, Jr. from Family Church officiating. Billie will be laid to rest beside her husband Chuck, at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery, Monroe. Visitation will be held from 11:00AM until service time on Friday.
Pallbearers will be Jamie Jones, Jamie Harrison, Trey Cage, Josh Cage, DJ Hart, and Jim Harrison. Honorary Pallbearers will be Scooter Jones, Billy Ledford, and Ryan Harrison.
Billie’s faith and love will forever live on in the hearts of all who knew her. Her favorite bible verse is Psalms 23.
