A graveside service for Mrs. Billie Sutton Roberts, 75, of Gonzales, LA, formerly of Monroe, will be held at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, May 10, 2025, at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery with Rev. Danny Chance officiating under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home Sterlington Rd. Monroe.

Mrs. Roberts was born on September 10, 1949, in Fort Hood, TX, and passed away peacefully surrounded by family on May 4, 2025.

Mrs. Roberts was happily married to Al Roberts for 20 years and enjoyed traveling to Mackinac Island with him. She had a wonderful sense of humor and was always making everyone smile. She loved making the holidays special for her family by cooking and making every detail perfect. She loved sharing her recipes as well as spending time with her family. She adored her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She also enjoyed traveling with her sisters to Colorado and always tried to make everyone feel special. She was the matriarch of her family and will be deeply missed by her loved ones.

Mrs. Roberts was preceded in death by her husband, Alan Roberts; her parents, Mildred and William Sutton; and brothers, John Michael and Randall Mark Sutton.

Survivors include her children, Sherri Johnson Edgar, Shane Johnson and wife Lucy, and Shelly Johnson. She was affectionately called “Mamoo” by her five grandchildren, Joshua Edgar, Jacob Edgar, Cade Johnson, Reece Johnson, and Ryann Johnson; and great grandchildren, Rylee and Jaxen Edgar. She is also survived by her sisters, Linda Clark and husband Garland and Susie Swinea and husband Gary; stepbrother, Jerry Hester; two very special friends whom she treated as daughters, Eleisa and Morgan; and numerous other family members and friends.

Pallbearers will be Jacob Edgar, Shane Johnson, Cade Johnson, Reece Johnson, Brad Bond and Gary Swinea.
