Funeral Services for Mrs. Billie Marie Stell Spivey, 86, of West Monroe, LA will be held at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, May 6, 2023, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe, LA, with Dr. Woods Watson officiating. Visitation will be held from 12:00 P.M. until service time on Saturday.  A Graveside Service will be held at 4:00 P.M. at New Ramah Cemetery in Haynesville, LA.

Billie Marie Spivey was born on August 11, 1936, in Hamburg (Promise Land), Arkansas and died in her home on May 3, 2023.

Mrs. Spivey attended Northeast Louisiana State University and received a Bachelor of Science in Home Economics in May of 1960. Mrs. Spivey was employed with Louisiana Power and Light where she met her future husband, James Spivey. They were married on June 23, 1962, in West Monroe, LA. She also worked as a schoolteacher for the Ouachita Parish School System for many years. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and was a member of First Baptist Church of West Monroe.

Survivors include sons, James Wilford Spivey II, Bradley Miller Spivey and wife, Melissa, Craig Douglas Spivey and fiancé Heather McLean, and Stuart Jason Spivey and wife Sandra; grandchildren, Colin Thompson Spivey, William Conrad Spivey, Jessica Eleanor Spivey, Savannah Drew Spivey, and Joshua James Spivey; sisters, Gloria Ann Stell Bell, Carolyn Stell, Chandler, Rosalyn Stell Touchstone, and Judy Stell Riley.

Pallbearers will be James Spivey, Bradley Spivey, Craig Spivey, Stuart Spivey, Pat Spivey, and David Bryant.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Colin Spivey, William Spivey, and Joshua Spivey.

Memorials may be made to the Louisiana Baptist Children’s Home and Family Ministries.
