Bradley Kyle "Brad" Thomson

A Celebration of Life for Mr. Bradley Kyle “Brad” Thomson, 52, of Murfreesboro, TN, formerly of Monroe, LA, will be 6:00 PM Friday, August 25, 2023, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home West Monroe with Dr. Lavelle Spillers officiating.

Brad was born March 8, 1971 and passed away on August 9, 2023. He graduated from Ouachita High School. Brad was a musical innovator, who influenced the creation of a sub-genre of music that will leave an imprint for generations to come. He was a member of the Tony Danza Tap Dance Extravaganza band. The band has over 10 million plays across streaming platforms. He could play any style of music. Brad was known all around the world. He would list on job applications, that he was a signal observer for the National Cable Company.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Linda Giddens Willis; maternal grandparents, Dorothy and John Giddens; uncle, Johnny Giddens; and cousin, Joni Giddens.

Survivors include his two sisters, Laura Davis and Michelle Towery; nieces and nephews, Arionna Towery, Kaleb Towery, Dominique Dixon, Kaley Davis, Marissa Davis, Kristopher Davis, Kaden Davis, Dwayde Wilson, and A’Niyah Wilson; and uncle and aunt, Terry and Laney Giddens; special cousin, Melissa Meloche; as well as cousins, Monica Giddens, Amanda Gilmore, John-David Giddens and wife Jennifer, Christopher Giddens, and Jake Giddens and a host of special friends.

Honorary Pallbearers will be members of the Tony Danza Tap Dance Extravaganza band, Mike Butler, Mason Crooks, Layne Meylain, and Jessie Freeland.  

Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 6:00 PM Friday, August 25, 2023, at Mulhearn Funeral Home West Monroe.
