Bridget Miciotto Tonore

Funeral services for Mrs. Bridget Tonore, 70, of Monroe, LA, will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, October 24, 2022, at Jesus the Good Shepherd Catholic Church with Rev. Michael Thang’wa officiating. Interment will follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park Mausoleum, Monroe, LA.

Bridget was born and raised in Shreveport, LA, graduating from St. Vincent’s Academy. She attended college at NLU, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in nursing and met her husband, George.

Bridget is a parishioner at Jesus the Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Monroe, and attended an ACTS retreat in 2017. She worked as a registered nurse for 30 years, first in the ICU and later for Louisiana Public Health, helping those in need. Bridget had a steadfast faith in God, and was the definition of “selfless,” placing others before herself. She especially loved and cared for her family, cherishing time spent with her husband, children, and grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Anthony and Mary Greco Miciotto.

Survivors include her husband, George Michael Tonore, Jr.; daughter, Bridget Tonore McFerrin; daughter, Marie Tonore Johnson and husband Brett; four grandchildren, Keegan Johnson, Conner Johnson, Cecilia Johnson and Audrey Johnson; two brothers, Joseph Miciotto and wife Debbie, Sammy Miciotto and wife Deanna; and her sister, Connie Miciotto Nalewaik and husband Bill; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many special friends.

Pallbearers will be Stuart Nalewaik, Clay Broussard, Mark Miciotto, Les Owen, Mark Greenlaw, and Keegan Johnson. Honorary Pallbearers will be Mike Nolan, Michael Zambie, Louis Tonore, Bobby Tonore, and Ronnie Tonore.

Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM Sunday with the wake service at 6:00 PM Sunday, October 23, 2022, at Mulhearn Funeral Home, Monroe, LA.
