Funeral services for Carol Gay McAdams Jackson, 93, of Monroe, LA, will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday, September 3, 2025, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home Sterlington Rd., Monroe, with Rev. Warren Eckhardt officiating. Interment will follow at Mer Rouge Cemetery in Mer Rouge, LA. Visitation will be held from 1:00 P.M. until service time at the funeral home.
Mrs. Jackson was born on August 10, 1932, in Mer Rouge, LA, and passed away on August 31, 2025, in Monroe, LA. She was a member of St. Mark’s Methodist Church.
She was the definition of a true southern lady. Her home was always welcome to everyone and she was always there to welcome them with her warm smile. She was married to her husband Bobby Jackson for 55 years and they had a marriage that would be envied by most. Their marriage was the picture of perfection and was a beautiful love story. She was known as “GG” to her grandchildren, Leah and Jordan, and great-grandchildren, Jackson, Davis, and Dylan. They were the loves of her life, and she lived and breathed everything they did.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 55 years, Bobby Joe Jackson; her brother, John Davis McAdams Jr. and wife Sarah Jane; and her parents, John Davis McAdams and wife Sadie.
Survivors include her daughter, Carol Jo Jackson Noah and her husband Elmer; grandchildren, Leah Carol Noah Shows and husband James and Jordan Gray Noah and wife Hope; great-grandchildren, Jackson Shows, Davis Shows, and Dylan Shows; nephews, Johnny McAdams and Michael McAdams; nieces, Sandra Wood, Barbara Ann Cook, and Kay Wing; numerous great nieces and nephews; as well as special family friend, Jo Alice Carlton Olin.
Pallbearers will be Jordan Noah, James Shows, Jackson Shows, Davis Shows, Dylan Shows, Johnny McAdams and Michael McAdams. The honorary Pallbearer will be Orlando Brooks.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to St. Marks Methodist Church in Monroe, LA 71203 and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
